How to Wear Jeggings!!

With the return of super skinny jeans and leggings this past couple of years, it’s no wonder the jeggings were invented. Jeggings are basically an extremely skinny jeans that look like leggings and are also weared like leggings.

I have to say that initially i was not the fan of skinny jeans or the legging, but as time went on, I came to embrace both, and now, it seems like I can’t even wear any other types of jeans but skinny. The problem with these slim types of bottoms is that they’re hard to dress. And jeggings especially, can be a little tricky.

A FEW THUMB RULES
First off, make sure jeggings suit your body type. If you don’t feel comfortable in them, don’t wear them – no one’s going to shun you for it!! Second, pick a dark pair that will go with everything from a basic tank to a sweater dress. Also, black slims you down so that’s always a plus. If you’re on the short side, you may want to get a petite pair as a regular pair of jeggings might run a little too long, and there’s nothing worse than 2 feet of bunched up jeans at the bottom.

SO WHAT EXACTLY YOU CAN WEAR JEGGINGS WITH?

Jeggings are actually quite versatile, and I feel they do a better job than skinny jeans or leggings would. Because they’re still denim material, you don’t have to cover your butt, but they’re so slim and skin-tight like leggings that you can wear a long sweater or tee, a dress, or just throw a long cardigan over.

I love wearing leggings with a pair of chunky heels, a long sweater and a scarf. Add a big tote to that, and you’re set for the day. So if you’re heading to the mall this week, make sure to pick up a pair of jeggings: it’s all you’ll need!

LEG WARMERS IN!!

Winter finally crept up on us, and as much as we hate it, we know we need to keep ourselves warm but that doesn’t mean we still can’t look good! One of my favorite trends this season has got to be the leg warmers even though they were a big thing back in the 80s, they’re more modernized now so here’s how you can incorporate leg warmers into your wardrobe!

With Tights

I love wearing tights with leg warmers – it looks absolutely adorable! Pair your leggings/tights with a warm sweater dress and your Uggs. Make sure you wear your leg warmers underneath your Uggs or boots, so that they peek out.

Over Boots

Wear your leg warmers over a pair of slim boots with either tights, leggings, or skinny jeans. Make sure the color of your leg warmers go together well with your boots. It’s always best to pick up a pair of leg warmers in neutral colors such as brown, taupe, or black for more versatility.

With Skinny Jeans

Leg warmers look amazing over a pair of skinnies. You can either wear flats, boots (leg warmers can be worn under boots or over top), or Uggs. For the most part, leg warmers should be kept away from frilly, feminine dresses. Sweater dresses or short denim skirts over tights are definitely a go though!

Boots, Boots, and More Boots

It’s that season again where we all whip out our favorite booties and show them off to the world! Whether you love your knee-high boots, ankle booties, boots are a major staple in this fall’s trends. But instead of donning the old classic black boot which can be a little blah and boring, why not opt for something different that will actually stand out?

Celebs are seen everywhere wearing their favorite boots, and the most popular choice we’ve seen is the low-heeled brown suede boot which is amazingly versatile since it seems to go along with everything. Pair brown suede boots with tights, leggings or skinny jeans to lengthen the leg and give you tons of style.

Knee-high boots have been around for a very long time. Weather it’s a flat boot, a pointy boot, a very high-heeled boot, a platform boot, and even a square heel boot, it’s all the same because we love knee-high boots!

The second you pair an outfit with some knee-high boots, everything changes. Your outfit suddenly looks sexier and more put together.

Thigh high boots or over-the-knee boots are also a very popular choice this season. To pull them off, start off with a pair of flat thigh-high boots and eventually work your way up to a small heel. Thigh-highs are a lot to take on so make sure you wear them delicately and you don’t end up looking weird!
